Welcome! I’m Alex Asher.
My first goal is to help you arrive at that 5k finish line with pride, self-confidence and healthy habits that will motivate you to live your best life.
My clients find my approach to running inspiring, realistic and fits in with their busy schedule.
I get what it’s like to be stuck in a rut. It can feel like you can’t escape that doubt, fear of failure or the dreaded plateau.
But what I can tell you is that you can get past it. It’s worth the fight.
While we’ve had a different life experience up to this point, I can know what adversity looks like.
I had the craziest idea on the 1st of December 2009.
This day in Germany was particularly freezing. The wind was whipping past my window as I drove 200km/ph towards a job I didn’t want to be at and in a place I need to leave. I was stuck.
I was desperate to go home where the Pohutukawa trees were blooming and New Zealand was celebrating a bumper summer. When you’re truly desperate for a change, you’ll be amazed what you finally start being open to.
That day I decided to embark on my own crazy mission. Despite not having run for 6 months and having only completed one marathon in my life, I decided commit to my odyssey – running down the entire East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand in one year’s time, 2300 km.
I ended up running the equivalent of running 55 marathons in 63 days. After overcoming a serious injury in my 2nd week and having run 6 out 7 days for 7 weeks – I finished strong running 517km in the final 7 days.
This was an adventure that changed my life forever, taught me the most important lessons about endurance running and sparked a passion for running and helping others.
Now 5 years later, having run a successful fitness bootcamp for 3 years, having tested the software and app for 2 years and having helped hundreds of women achieve their health and fitness goals – I’ve learned that the first 5k can feel just as scary as 55 marathons.
We all have different starting points but we can overcome fear, doubt and uncertainty to reach our goals if we can get through that first, most difficult stage.
Now I get a massive buzz from helping beginner runners because they have the most to gain from the experience.
In fact, I’m humbled everyday by the achievements my clients are celebrating and proud of the amazing qualities they learn to unlock on their journey to exceptional health.
If you’ve done several half marathons and simply looking to break a personal best, I’ve got some good friends that can help you but it’s not me.
I’m just a genuine guy with a powerful story and a bold dream to guide one million people to better health and happiness.
I help people believe in themselves again, to build up their confidence with daily habits and to develop a growth mindset that impacts every aspect of their life.
But a better if you hear from my clients and you be the judge of whether you think I can help you find your own sense of freedom, confidence and community through running…
